Pet Retirements

What do you think of pets retiring? When they get to a certain age they start getting weaker, and are forced to retire from battling.

Hum I don't know I wouldn't like that... because if you train your pet a lot and then it can't fight anymore, it'd be a bit frustrating to me. But maybe there could be a rare item such as a potion to keep it from happening, but it would be rare.

That would work. What about instead of a potion a pet can hold onto a item that could be called something like "Everlife Stone"?

Oo yeah I like that. Because I do think that if the pet ages, turns from a baby to an adult, there logically should be a moment where it is too old to fight, but the option that it can be prevented suits me
